Types of Employment

CASUAL employees hold a legal employment relationship with SAGE. They decide when and if they want to work and how many appointments they offer per week. Casual employees receive all legally mandated benefits (such as paid vacation and employment insurance); they may also be eligible for some of SAGE’s other benefit programs proportional levels of service provision.

  • Hourly rate is higher than industry standards and based on regional market standards
  • Late client cancellations and no-shows are compensated

CONTRACTUAL employees have a written business agreement whereby a self-employed individual or agency agrees to perform specific work and provide deliverables for SAGE in return for a set fee. They decide when they want to work and how many appointments they want to offer per week. Contractual employees are not eligible for SAGE’s benefits.

  • Compensation is based on 50% of established agency fees

AFFILIATED service providers are external to the agency’s core personnel and have a written business agreement whereby a self-employed individual or agency agrees to perform specific work and offer deliverables to SAGE for a set fee. They may refuse to accept suggested client referrals and usually, they deliver services within their own private practices as an authorized representative of SAGE’s brand and services. Affiliated employees are not eligible for SAGE’s benefits.

  • Compensation is based on an hourly rate for a business transaction and specific clinical and administrative deliverable
  • Compensation may vary according to identified regional market rates
