A Trained Response
When a tragedy occurs, how those in a leadership position handle this situation can have both short-term and long-term consequences for everyone involved. In instances of emergency and tragedy, it is generally accepted that the first 24-72 hours are a key time for debriefings and crucial services to those who need it.
With this in mind, SAGE offers a trained response to critical incidents or traumatic events, such as accidents, deaths, acts of violence and natural disasters. Going beyond our required level of a master’s education, the counselors chosen to help you also hold additional training and certification in Psychological First Aid and/or Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). With this training, they can provide you with consultation and assessment, development of a response plan, on-site clinical support, individual or group counselling support and any necessary follow-up.
